On Thursday July 17th, 2014, we visited The Children’s National Medical Center Hospital in Washington DC. I was able to donate 107 teddy bears along with some toys and books that some very good friends donated. It feels good to continue bringing a smile to a sick child. Thanks to people that have donated a toy, book or teddy bear to my project “Cecilia’s Project for Hope.”
My family and I spent a couple of days in Washington DC and decided to bring teddy bears to sick children. It was amazing to find out that the Children’s National Medical in Washington DC have a small storage room where they store not only teddy bears but also toys that people bring in for donation.
It was a long drive from New Jersey to Washington DC but it was worth it. It nice to know that some sick children will enjoy hugging a teddy bear friend. I hope it make them feel better.
Upon our arrival, we brought in the teddy bears to the lobby. We waited for someone to bring a cart. My mom, dad and brother were so helpful to load and unload the cart. It is nice to know that the hospital has people that volunteer in the donations department.
I am sure the children will enjoy the beautiful teddy bears, toys and books donated to this Hospital.
Thanks to everyone that donated a teddy bear. As usual, it means a lot to a sick child to receive one beautiful teddy bear friend. Thank you soo much!!!!
