On Sunday February 1, 2015 my brother and I delivered 60 Teddy bears to the elderly at the Bristol Manor, Alaris Health, at Rochelle Park, New Jersey.
My grandmother spent about 20 days at the facility and took care of her really well. I want to thank them for that. She had really nice nurses and physical therapists caring for her.
One day, as I walk the hallway to visit my grandmother, I noticed an older woman fell in love with the teddy bear I was holding. Then I thought It would be such a nice idea to bring teddy bears not only to the sick children but to the elderly as well. So for the first time, I brought some teddy bears to the elderly. I know there are so many older people that are sick and have been at the facility for a long time and need a little friend to cheer them up.
I hope a teddy bear will bring them a smile and I hope they will enjoy having a little companion on their side.
My grandmother is home now and thanks to the Bristol Manor, Alaris Health nurses and therapists that were helping my grandmother for almost a month.
May they enjoy the teddy bears and bring them a smile in their time of emotional need.
